Welcome from our Students

Neatherd has helped me to learn lots and progress well, giving me the opportunity to apply to a Sixth Form in the city. Neatherd has also provided me with multiple opportunities do develop my character through clubs, trips and excellent careers advice.

During my time here, Neatherd has further developed excellent facilities, such as the new Hospitality and Catering room with commercial grade equipment and a 3D chocolate printer, that have helped me to express my interests in the culinary world. I have really enjoyed my time at Neatherd. My standout moment has got to be the trip to Iceland, where I got to see the unique scenery, climb volcanoes and bathe in the Blue Lagoon, all with my friends.

If I was to give someone joining Neatherd advice, I would tell them to make the most out of every club and activity there is to offer, as this is something that our school does very well.

Neatherd is a brilliant high school and I’m so glad to be a part of its community.

During my time at Neatherd I have enjoyed being involved in several of the many clubs, including Science Club, Rugby Club and Duke of Edinburgh. They’ve all been both good fun and great in helping me build life skills and my confidence. I have also been fortunate enough to go on many school trips, such as the Battlefields trip to Belgium and France.

I enjoy learning, which is largely due to the many committed teachers who work very hard to ensure class time and homework develops knowledge and life awareness.

I really like Neatherd’s focus on inclusion, fairness and compassion. The support the school offers its pupils helps everyone at school to be happy. Neatherd’s teachers work hard to help us learn, they are always happy to listen and put well-being and support first. We are one team, all striving for academic excellence and strong personal development.
