Year 11 Lateness

Dear parents and carers

We are becoming a little concerned at the number of year 11 students that are arriving late to school without a viable reason. It is because of this that we are making you aware that should a year 11 student arrive late to school without a reasonable explanation, they will be issued with an automatic 40 minute ‘catch up/revision time’ session that same lunchtime.

As you are aware, we are now reaching a critical time for year 11. We are doing all we can to support them, but they need to be here every day, and on time, to learn and to succeed! Hopefully this measure will make Year 11 a little less complacent and more likely to be punctual in the morning.

Please can you discuss this with your son/daughter at home. They are already aware of it as it was mentioned at the Mock exam results morning on Wednesday.
