Year 10 RSC production of Macbeth

Dear parents/carers,

As part of the study of English Literature at GCSE, we are hoping to take students to see a special screening of the RSC production of Macbeth at Cinema City in Norwich. The purpose of this visit is to enhance students’ learning and understanding of a key GCSE text. Students will be taken by coach to Cinema City in Norwich where they will have a private screening of the production.

Students participating in the visit will leave school at 8:55am and return at 13:15pm in time for afternoon lessons. Students will need to wear school uniform and should bring a packed lunch and a drink. A packed lunch will be provided for those students in receipt of free school meals.

We will be offering 135 places on a first-come-first-served basis. The deadline for signed consent forms and payment is Monday 23rd April.

We ask for a parental contribution of £9 per student towards the cost of transport, insurance and the ticket. Payments should be made via our online system, ParentPay by Monday 23rd April at the latest, but those choosing not to use this system should make cheques payable to Dereham Neatherd High School and take them to the payment collection area (outside Business 1) during Monday morning break (11.10am-11.25am) by Monday 23rd April at the latest (please note Monday is the only day we can receive cheque payments for this trip and cash can no longer be accepted).

In response to LEA guidelines regarding educational visits and journeys, we require parental consent for your child to take part in this visit. For this trip consent can be given via your ParentPay account. In the notes box, on ParentPay, you will need to enter an emergency contact number for the day in question and also any medical details. Please ensure that this information only is entered. If you are unable to use your ParentPay account to give consent or parental contribution please contact the finance office to obtain a paper copy of the consent which will need completing, signing and returning by the 23rd April. Please note that your son/daughter will not be able to take part in this trip unless consent is completed in full via ParentPay or by paper form and returned by the closure date.

Please note that your son/daughter will not be able to take part in this trip unless consent is completed in full online or by paper form and returned by the closure date.

If you have any questions or require any further information please do not hesitate to contact the English Department

Yours sincerely,

Miss E. Young & Ms G. Costenbarder
