Work experience placement
Dear parents and carers
At Neatherd High School we take great pride in all the Careers work we are doing with our students – from weekly appointments with a trained Careers advisor, Careers related lessons in the Society & Ethics curriculum, Careers fairs, our Year 11 interviews and our biggest project – the Year 10 work experience.
We are one of only few schools left in Norfolk which still gives their students the opportunity to experience the world of work for one week. Our young learners value the work experience immensely and benefit from it greatly. Over the last few years it has become increasingly difficult to secure placements as a lot of companies don’t accept work experience students anymore due to staff shortages or the fact that they have apprentices now.
We were wondering if you are aware of any placements yourself or the company / organisation you work for could offer. Our work experience week takes place during w/c 8th July and a company does need to have Employer Liability Insurance to be able to accept work experience students.
If you can suggest suitable placements, please e-mail our Work Experience co-ordinator, Mrs Broughton on Marion_broughton@neatherd.org
Thanks for all your support.
Yours sincerely
Mr R. Hodges
