Message from Headteacher
Dear parents and carers
Further to the text message sent yesterday, please see a message from our headteacher Chris Smith below:
"Yesterday afternoon the Prime Minister has announced that if a member of your household displays either a cough or fever then everyone in the household should self-isolate for 14 days.
We therefore appreciate that some pupils may now not be in school even if they are perfectly healthy. Please contact us if this is the case, these pupils will be recorded as "unable to attend school due to exceptional circumstances" as per the Department for Education's latest guidance.
This change of policy could, potentially, also have implications on staffing. We will monitor the situation on a day to day basis. Should staffing levels reach critical levels, we may need to consider partial closure of the school with some year groups not being able to attend. We will always do our best to provide you with as much notice as is possible should this decision need to be made.
We will obviously do everything in our power to avoid this but please have plans in place should the scenario arise.
Thank you for your support and understanding at this difficult time."
