Apprenticeship Afternoon on 20th January
Dear Parents and Carers
Apprenticeship Afternoon at Neatherd High School; Monday 20th January
We are pleased to inform you that we will be holding an Apprenticeship Afternoon at Neatherd High School on Monday 20th January. We have invited a variety of apprenticeship providers and training companies who are going to set up their stalls in the sports hall. All students in Year 9 and 10 as well as those Year 11 students interested in an apprenticeship will be able to visit this apprenticeship fair during lesson time to find out more information.
As a parent / carer you are also invited to attend. Please sign in at reception and then you will be shown to the sports hall. Please see the attached schedule to find out when your child’s class will be attending the event to ensure you attend with them. If your child is in Year 11, please contact us and we will arrange a convenient time to attend.
Apprenticeships are becoming more popular all the time and we as a school would like to give more information to both students and parents about the benefits of taking an apprenticeship. An apprenticeship offers a practical alternative to university and a route into a career with good prospects. Apprenticeships enable young people to start working and earn while they develop key skills and gain the qualifications that future employers are looking for.
We know that an apprenticeship is not for everyone, but please note that the providers will also be able to give information about future job opportunities and information at other training or courses they offer. Some students may also consider an apprenticeship after they have completed their sixth form or college course.
If you work for an organisation that provides apprenticeships and would like to attend this event; we would be delighted to hear from you. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and mark it for the attention of Mrs M Broughton.
Mr R Hodges
