500 Words Competition

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Here at Neatherd we believe we have some very talented writers. To encourage their creative flair we are once again taking part in the Radio 2 "500 Words Competition"- open to anyone aged 13 years or under on the 14TH June 2019.

We want your child to submit something mad, magical, mind- blowing or mysterious with no more than 500 words! All entries will be submitted to the national competition where they will be in with a chance to win the first prize of a pile of books as tall as Chris Evans, a set tour of CBBC studios plus 500 books to add to our wonderful school library. In addition to this we will also be awarding prizes to the top three stories from our school, judged and presented by our Patron of Reading author, Alex Scarrow.

Please encourage your child to take part in this amazing competition which allows them to be as creative and imaginative as they dare- the stories can be about anything and having been a judge for the past five years I can confirm they really are diverse!

To enter please submit the stories to lgill3nrs@nsix.org.uk via their nsix account- giving their name, age and form group.

Let’s get creative and show the nation that Dereham Neatherd High School students really do have creative talent!

Kind Regards

Mrs L. Gill
