Hourly rate £9.18 + holiday pay
Start Date: Compulsory training on 31st October 2019
We require Exam Invigilators to join our friendly team to supervise pupils and ensure a perfect environment during examination periods for written and online examinations.
The role will involve invigilation of individual and groups of learners undertaking written exams or online tests.
The successful candidate(s) should be able to work confidently with large and small groups of students in an exam setting, relating positively to all learners, being extremely diligent and adaptable and have good verbal communication skills. The invigilators role is an important one and your attitude can have an impact on the impression the candidate will have of the schools’ exam system. It is therefore essential that you are professional and calm at all times.
The invigilator is key to ensuring Neatherd’s examinations are managed efficiently and effectively, in line with agreed procedures and processes. You must be highly organised, diligent and conscientious.
We are looking to appoint invigilators who are (a) confident carrying out numerous invigilation exercises, (b) can use their own initiative and are proactive, (c) follow instruction and (d) pay close attention to detail and can accurately and methodically complete documentation.
The post holder(s) will be responsible for ensuring examinations are managed efficiently and effectively, in line with agreed procedures and processes. You will receive compulsory training and no prior experience is necessary.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To work independently, but also within a team, to ensure exams are carried out properly, efficiently and in line with documented processes;
- Provide efficient and effective management of pre and post exam duties example, checking exam papers, setting up of the exam room, conducting ID checks
- To monitor the behaviour of candidates before, during and after an examination;
- To document suspicions, issues of concern or malpractice/maladministration by candidates or other staff;
- the post holder may be required to carry out other appropriate duties as determined by the Exam Officer.
