Carter

Head of House: Miss Powell-Bowns

Our House is named after Howard Carter. Howard Carter was the renowned Archaeologist and Egyptologist who made the exciting discovery of the tomb of King Tutankhamun in 1922. It took him years to find the tomb and yet even with a distinct lack of support and, against the odds he persevered. Eventually his dedication and patience was rewarded by this magnificent discovery.

As a House, we believe in ourselves and in each other. We are competitive, yet supportive. We are hard-working, yet we also know how to have fun! This gives everyone in our House a real sense of belonging, which is really important during your time at school.

Our House is very proud to have strong student leadership, with form and school council representatives as well as House Captains. We are lucky enough to have two outstanding Year 11 leaders, Charlotte Calvert (House Captain) and Arden Scott (Deputy House Captain). In addition to this, Carter is also fortunate to have our very own representative for Head Boy, Adam Littleproud.

Our valuable team of tutors are dedicated to guiding our students through their school years and delivering comprehensive mentoring and support to enable the best possible outcomes. Their dedication to our students encourages a good relationship between year groups within our vertical forms.

We wish for people in Carter to be aspirational, kind-hearted, resilient and most importantly to have a good sense of humour! Our House passionately believe in the will to succeed and in joining our House only your very best will do.
