Welcome to the PE department
The department wants all students to enjoy being active and develop their skills and co-ordination whilst having fun. PE not only wants to aid the physical development of its students but also to encourage working with others and social skills. We have excellent resources and would like all students to develop interests that will be carried on in later life.

Quality teaching & learning is the basis for all lessons. We have an enthusiastic and fully qualified department that works hard to deliver high quality PE. All staff offer not only their expertise in lessons but we also run a full extracurricular programme at lunchtime.

Our results are consistently good at GCSE level and BTEC and data indicates students going beyond expectations in the exam section of PE. In core PE, students make very good progress throughout their time at Neatherd High School with many students going on to represent their county in many sports

The department has a Full-sized astro-turf Football pitch, sports hall, gymnasium/fitness centre, one full size grass football pitch, two 5-a-side pitches, two all weather cricket pitches, six all weather cricket nets, one full sized hockey pitch, one full sized rugby pitch, six tennis courts, four netball courts, two outside basketball courts, an athletics track, a hurdles track, and long/triple-jump pits.

Each February we run a ski trip to Italy and we have a wide range of clubs and after school practice sessions in a number of different sports. We run an activity week for all Year 8 students to Bramley Lakes where they have the opportunity to do rafting, archery, climbing, abseiling and team building activities.
