School Council

Our School Council is run by the senior prefect team (overseen by a member of staff), and pupils from all year groups take part. The council meets once per half term.

Each form group nominates a School Council representative to discuss school improvement and to give pupils’ feedback on different aspects of the school.

The senior leadership team listen carefully to the School Council’s views, and changes have been made as a direct result of these discussions: for example, management of the canteen queues at break and lunch time, more seating areas outside and prefect duty areas at community times.

School Council is an excellent way for our pupils to gain leadership experience, develop confidence in expressing opinions, and improve speaking and listening skills.
