Apprenticeship events and opportunities

Dear parents and carers

Please find below events and opportunities related to apprenticeships which we receive regularly from Norfolk County Council. We will forward these on to you from now as a number of our Yr11 students are currently still seeking apprenticeships.

Attached – this weeks’ updates of opportunities.

Opportunities to highlight this week include positions for adult care support workers for Jeesel Group, based in Aylsham. Paying £124 per week with training via YMCA Training leading to theNVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification. See reference VAC000735821. For more info / informal chat applicants / advisors can contactCath Murphy at YMCA Training on 07545077582 or email -
catherine.murphy@ymca.co.uk. Close date for application 3rd March.

Reminder that British Telecom (BT) are also recruiting for their Apprenticeship Scheme. This is advertised as a National opportunity but on their website you can search for opportunities in a particular area (I think this is done once an applicant starts to log in / register). Close date for positons is 30 June, with starts in September 2016 – so positions are open for Yr11 leavers.

– Network Engineer (Level 4) vacancy reference VAC000779902

- Vehicle Maintenance vacancy reference VAC000779900

Information flyers will be available next week for the By Apprentices’ event, being held at The Forum, Norwich between 10am & 6pm on Friday 18 March as part of National Apprenticeship Week! Meet Apprentices and see the work they’ve produced / repaired / created during their Apprenticeship. Talk to them, find out more, sign up with Training Providers. No need to book. More details over the next few weeks, but we are hoping for, amongst others, speedway bikes, tractors / animals & livestock / agricultural vehicles / construction apprentices / catering apprentices offering food samples – and even a Dinosaur!
