Apprenticeship Evening at Neatherd High School

Dear Parents/Carers

Year 9/10 Apprenticeship Evening at Neatherd High School

We would like to remind you about our Apprenticeship Evening which takes place tomorrow, Thursday, 2nd July at 6pm in our school canteen.

Apprenticeships are becoming more popular all the time and we as a school would like to give more information to both students and parents about the benefits of taking an apprenticeship. An apprenticeship offers a practical alternative to university and a fast route into a career with good prospects. Apprenticeships enable young people to start working and earn while they learn key skills and gain the qualifications that future employers are looking for.

The evening is going to start with an informative talk about apprenticeships in general, the application process, apprenticeships available in Norfolk and how to access them. Afterwards parents and students can meet a variety of apprenticeship providers and find out more information about the services available.

Our Careers Advisor, Mrs James, will also be available for a chat or you can make an appointment to see her at a later date.

We would be delighted to welcome you next Thursday. Please note that students do not need to attend in school uniform. We anticipate that the evening will finish at approximately 7.30pm.

Yours sincerely

Robert Hodges

Subject Leader for Business, Enterprise, Careers and Work-Related Learning
