Apprenticeship Afternoon at Neatherd
Dear parents and carers
We are pleased to inform you that we will be holding an Apprenticeship Afternoon at Neatherd High School on Wednesday, 25th January. We have invited a large variety of apprenticeship providers who are going to set up their stalls in the sports hall. All students in Year 10 and 11 will be able to visit this apprenticeship fair during lesson time to find out more information about the services available and even learn about current vacancies. The fair will stay open for one hour after school, from 3.30pm – 4.30pm to give parents a chance to attend as well.
Apprenticeships are becoming more popular all the time and we as a school would like to give more information to both students and parents about the benefits of taking an apprenticeship. An apprenticeship offers a practical alternative to university and a fast route into a career with good prospects. Apprenticeships enable young people to start working and earn while they learn key skills and gain the qualifications that future employers are looking for.
We know that doing an apprenticeship is not for everyone, but please note that the providers will also be able to give information about future job opportunities and other training or courses they offer. Some students also consider starting taking an apprenticeship after they have completed their A-level studies.
Please see below for a list of providers who have confirmed their attendance so far and we are still expecting more replies.
We hope your children will find this event useful
