Parents Curriculum Handbook
The new curriculum handbooks are designed to improve our communication with parents and carers, to answer questions you may have about your child(ren)'s learning here at Neatherd, and to assist you in supporting that learning. We hope that they provide you with valuable information to help you support your child(ren), and give you an overview of what happens over the school year.
There are four handbooks available - for Years 7, 8, 9 and Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11). Updated curriculum handbooks are sent to all parents at the beginning of the school year.
In addition, to help you support your conversations with your Year 7 children about their learning, we have attached a sheet which summarises the key learning topics for after Easter 2017
Neatherd's Curriculum Model can be found here.
Details of how the school sets pupils by ability can be found here.
Our rationale for using non-GCSE courses at KS4 can be found here.
Please contact the school if you have any feedback or suggestions for the handbooks, so that we can work together to produce the best resources possible for our students.
